Today we discovered that we'd had a malicious script which had somehow worked it's way onto G-P a few weeks ago. Basically everytime the main page was loaded by anyone the script would generate an advert for various 'pills' in the format of a search engine, which was then intended to display over the top of the site - for some reason it obviously wasn't working as no users reported any issues. However all of these generated adverts slowly took their toll as we today noticed our server storage space was completely capped out thanks to 7500 50kb '.htm' files! The script has now been removed completely (along with future prevention) and our storage has been restored, however we apologise if anyone encountered any issues during this time which we did not know about.
Fear not this script was simply server side and would have done no harm to your machines, nor was any personal account data ever at risk - it was simply an evil intrusive advert generator.
