RUMOUR: Activision remove senior Infinity Ward staff

E-mail

Apparently, Activision has actioned some fairly heavy-handed organisational changes at Infinity Ward, the uber-developer responsible for the Modern Warfare installments to the Call Of Duty series.

According to G4TV's The Feed some non-uniformed bouncer-like men showed up outside the Infinity Ward offices unannounced and studio heads Vince Zampella and Jason West weren't seen again by fellow employees following a meeting with Activision on Monday morning.

Infinity Ward community manager, Rob Bowling addressed the situation via Twitter, writing "I should also say, while I appreciate all the calls, tweets, messages and hearing my ringtone a lot, they're in vain - as I have no info."

Jason West updated his Facebook status today to unemployed, ending his 9 years and 3 months with Infinity Ward. This makes the story seem to be true, even though solid facts have not yet been released.

Interested to see what the whole deal with this is. What is it Activision have been trying to make them do that they clearly don't agree with.

Who cares. They will soon get snapped up by rival Dev's. If they are good at what they do, wont take em long to get back into work.
