Twisted Metal Delayed in Europe

E-mail

Despite only being 12 days away from the announced launch date, Twisted Metal has been delayed in Europe, according to the game's co-creator. David Jaffe also stated that he had "heard" the game will instead be launching on 1st March in European regions, however no official announcement has been made by Sony. The reason for the delay is apparently localisation is taking a "touch longer than expected" with Jaffe also confirming some violent scenes from the cutscenes have been cut.

Jaffe also stated that minor gameplay changes have been made - "I think the guy on the gurney from Meat Wagon is dead so you are exploding a corpse covered with TNT vs. a screaming man trapped to the gurney". How do you guys feel about these cuts? Will you be importing the game instead? Sound off in the comments below!

This kinda stuff really annoys me. As an adult gamer we're old enough to make our own decisions on what we feel is too violent. The game is rated 18+ for a reason, and if children are able to play it then that's the fault of a retailer for selling it to them, or he parents decision to make.

I've preordered the game for import and will be getting the US version. I don't care about having to pay slightly more, as it's the way the developers intended the game to be, rather than how the monkeys at SCEE wanted it to be.
