Microsoft Increase Price of Xbox Live

E-mail

Microsoft has confirmed that it will be increasing the price of Xbox Live Gold in Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom and the United States.

From November 1st 2010, the price of an annual Xbox Live Gold subscription will increase from $49.99 to $59.99 in the US.

In the UK, it only appears to be the monthly cost that's set to increase, rising from £4.99 to £5.99 a month.

ROCK ON !!!

UPDATE - Microsoft have confirmed to CVG that the only UK pricing affected will be the 1 month subscription plan. 3, 6 and 12 month plans will not be affected.

Like I said in the shout-box;
all i want from a service is 2 play online. Both do this with zero problems at all. Both deliver a store and demos etc with zero issues. Both have minimal network downtime. Both have movie streaming and music, again, zero issues. So 4 Sony to offer all 4 free still is now an even bolder move. So i really don't see m$ logic 4 a price increase at all.

Yeah its stupid how PSN can offer so much for free and Xbox Live charges for it. Silver accounts give you basically nothing i believe even though i have never been on a silver account. The only thing which is better on xbox live really is he community & communication with friends and that along with the controller is why i prefer the xbox. Atleast now i have a ps3 to fall back on if my gold runs out and i cannot afford to buy it for a while.
