MW2 Gets Third Person

E-mail

You read that right. Modern Warfare 2 will recieve a third person mode. Earlier today this was rumoured, however has now been confirmed by Robert Bowling, who told Joystiq "This is just another cool way to play the game".This mode is not something you can just toggle on and off, and is instead part of specific playlists and private server settings. For those worried he confirmed that "You obviously will still have the option to play gametypes normal as well."

Kombo is also reporting that in addition to the traditional multiplayer modes, a third person deathmatch and third person cage match are listed amongst them.

Apparently we can expect an "awesome trailer" to provide more details and show some gameplay footage of this interesting new addition to the series.
