Twisted Metal Delayed in Europe

Despite only being 12 days away from the announced launch date, Twisted Metal has been delayed in Europe, according to the game's co-creator. David Jaffe also stated that he had "heard" the game will instead be launching on 1st March in European regions, however no official announcement has been made by Sony. The reason for the delay is apparently localisation is taking a "touch longer than expected" with Jaffe also confirming some violent scenes from the cutscenes have been cut.

Jaffe also stated that minor gameplay changes have been made - "I think the guy on the gurney from Meat Wagon is dead so you are exploding a corpse covered with TNT vs. a screaming man trapped to the gurney". How do you guys feel about these cuts? Will you be importing the game instead? Sound off in the comments below!

Bastion Deal of the Week

This week's Xbox Live Deal of the Week is for 50% off Bastion, putting it at a cheap 600msp (£5.14). If you missed my review back in August I was a huge fan of the game, awarding it a hefty 9.3/10. In fact, Bastion ended up being one of my favourite games of the year. If you're an Xbox Live Gold Member and havn't picked up the game I strongly recommend it!

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is the sequel to 2010's critically acclaimed Final Fantasy XIII. The game takes place 3 years after the events of FFXIII and follows Serah, Lightning's younger sister, as she sets out to discover what has happened to her sister. The game features the same Active Time Battle (ATB) mechanic as it's predecessor but addresses some of the criticisms that were levelled at Final Fantasy XIII on its release, namely offering less linear gameplay. Final Fantasy XIII-2 launches in the U.K on February 3rd.
