Wow Scam Emails 1 Year, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Watch out with these people. Myself since getting my Aion account hacked now get literally 6+ e-mails trying to scam my WoW account and others. But tonight I got one pretty convincing, it raised a red flag in my mind so I looked it up and discovered it to be fake. Even had my full name in it. Looked like this:

Hello Chaz Tyldsley,

Blizzard Entertainment recently received a request to change the e-mail address used to log in to the Battle.net account with the username **my e-mail address was here**. The e-mail address k***@hotmail.com has been specified as the new username for this Battle.net account. An email has been sent to this new address containing a verification link to complete the change.

Once the new address has been verified, the e-mail address kmdesh93@live.com can no longer be used to log in to this Battle.net account or any World of Warcraft accounts merged with this Battle.net account.

If you did not initiate this request, please click here to contact the Blizzard Billing & Account Services team immediately.

Sincerely,
The Battle.net Account Team

I found it odd how it stated a random e-mail address could no longer be used to log into the account. The raised flag is Blizzard will NEVER EVER EVER ask you to login to a site to contact them. They'll simply say "Contact us straight away". Also in the case of this e-mail Blizzard would actually send the activation confirmation to your current e-mail address, then you'd click the link and the new e-mail address would be applied to the account - again they will never ask you to login.

Just thought I'd give a heads up just incase anyone is also getting similar e-mails. They're getting alot smarter now, and people have even reported e-mails to contain player's Realm and Character name in them. Don't fall for it!
